WHAT IS B ROLL? AND HOW DO WE USE IT?

DEFINITION

B-roll footage refers to supplementary video footage that is shot alongside the primary footage (known as A-roll) in video production.

Its purpose is to enhance the storytelling, create visual interest, and reinforce the main points or narrative of the video. B-roll footage is commonly used by combining it with the A-roll footage during editing to provide context, transitions, or visual breaks, resulting in a more engaging and polished final product.

Above is an example of primary interview footage for a business profile video with accounting firm
Falanga & Co.
